LA COUPOLE : one of the mythic restaurant in Paris

Born in 1927 and once a leading center of artistic life, La Coupole is now the epitome of the grand Paris brasserie in Montparnasse.

Former patrons include Josephine Baker, Henry Miller, Dalí, Calder, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Picasso.

At one of its sidewalk tables, you can sit and watch the passing scene and order a coffee or a cognac VSOP.

Try main dishes such as sole meunière, a very good rump steak, fresh oysters, shellfish, grilled lobster with flambéed whisky sauce, or curried lamb.
